About Our Practice

Our History

Our firm began in 1941 after W. I. Daniel received a license to practice law in the State of Tennessee. In 1959, when Creed A. Daniel was licensed, he became a major part of the firm.  Later, Dirk A. Daniel joined the firm, followed by Evan M. Newman.

Our Attorneys

Evan M. Newman, Esq.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude, which is the highest possible honors, from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Evan continued to graduate 12th in his class at Nashville School of Law, receiving the degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence. He was then licensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee in October 2016.

As a native of Grainger County, Evan loves his job serving his fellow citizens. In most respects, he is not your typical attorney. Evan is what you might call a “straight shooter.” He believes in providing equal justice for everyone and will provide you with honest representation. Anyone needing his services is welcome, and you will find that Evan is very responsive.

Standing for integrity, Evan is a very happily married man, as well as an active member of Fairview Baptist Church and an active Gideon. When asked for a simple statement about his motivation, Evan responded that he wants, “to glorify God with my gifts and to represent and to serve my fellow man.”

Creed A. Daniel, Esq.

After high school, Creed attended and graduated from Carson Newman. He then attended the University of Tennessee Law School, from which he graduated in 1958. He was licensed to practice law in 1959.

As an active attorney of many years, Creed continues to practice law and maintains an active role in the community.
